TRENTON – Longtime state Assemblyman Neil Cohen (D-Union) resigned Monday. Cohen is currently the subject of a child pornography investigation, though as of Monday no charges had been filed.
Cohen has reportedly been in a hospital under psychiatric evaluation since authorities seized his office computer last week.

Armed Robbers Strike Quick Chek

LINDEN – Police are searching for three young men who robbed a West Elizabeth Avenue convenience store early Monday morning.
According to police, the three men entered the store at 6 a.m. At least two of them were carrying black handguns and ordered everyone to the floor.

Elizabeth Man Sentenced To 60 Years For 2006 Slaying

ELIZABETH – A 40-year-old Elizabeth man was sentenced to 60 years in state prison for stabbing a 33-year-old man to death outside a Linden bar in 2006.
