TRENTON – Applications are now available online from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) for $170 million in financing assistance to help state businesses face the fiscal challenges of the national economic crisis.  The funding is being made available through two new programs created under Governor Jon S. Corzine’s Economic Assistance and Recovery Plan to stimulate capital investment and job creation.

“In creating the InvestNJ and Main Street Business Assistance programs, the Governor and the Legislature have taken critical steps to support business growth and community investment in New Jersey and help our state emerge from a national economic recession,” said Jerold L. Zaro, chief of the Office of Economic Growth.

Students Watch History Being Made — Third, fourth and fifth grade students of St. John the Apostle School watched the swearing in of President Barack Obama Tuesday.  The rest of the 366 students viewed this historical event in other designated parts of the building.  Students in Miss Tooker’s fourth and fifth grade social studies classes spent the morning on scavenger hunts obtaining answers to questions regarding the Presidency. In 1965, Bamberger’s had Chantry Beauty Salon. Their services included a half-price sale in August, a cold wave, plus short hair cut, shampoo and set for $8.75, was regularly priced at $17.50. The gold bond crème wave in their design studio was $14.00, regularly went for $28.00. The style league wave in our American Room was discounted to $8.75, on sale for $17.50. It was located in the upper level of Bamberger’s. The phone number began with LI-9.
