CLARK—Anthony N. Poyssick, a member of Boy Scout Troop 145 of Clark, earned his Eagle Scout award, the highest honor in Boy Scouting. Only four percent of all Boy Scouts attain this rank.

A scout since 1998, Poyssick has earned 26 merit badges and has held various leadership ranks such as senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, and patrol leader. He has provided over 100 hours of community service and participated in over 20 weekend camping trips.
For his Eagle Scout project, Poyssick refurbished the Clark First Aid Squad’s parking facility on Raritan Road. Poyssick felt this was a way to give back to the volunteers of Clark’s Emergency Squad who give so much to his community.
With the help of his fellow scouts and guidance of his leaders, new parking lines were drawn and repainted, re-cycled Belgium block curbing was repaired and re-aligned, and signs for handicap, duty crew and visitors were drawn and painted. Fund donations came from Bongiorno & Associates and Pro Construction.
Poyssick, a junior at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, is a member of the cross-country and track varsity teams and has achieved high honor and honor roll designations. He is now training as a cadet on the Clark First Aid Squad, where he will join his father and brother, who hold officer positions.
Anthony is the youngest son of Donna and Charles J. Poyssick and brother to JoAnna and Charles W., who obtained his Eagle Scout award in 2004.
