 ELIZABETH–The annual Pinewood Derby Championship of the Boy Scouts of America Patriots’ Path Council, Munsee District will be held on Saturday, April 4, at Jersey Garden Mall in the center courtyard lower level. 

Sign-in / Weigh-in starts at 9:30 a.m. with racing fun starting by 10 a.m.  Come cheer on your Pack representatives from all levels of Cub Scouts: Tigers to Webelos II’s.  This event is being held in a public venue this year to increase the visibility of the great Scouting program in Munsee District (Patriots’ Path Council, BSA) which supports Scouting at all levels in the towns of Elizabeth, Roselle, Roselle Park, Linden, Rahway, Hillside, Clark, Cranford, Kenilworth and Union.

CLARK—Anthony N. Poyssick, a member of Boy Scout Troop 145 of Clark, earned his Eagle Scout award, the highest honor in Boy Scouting. Only four percent of all Boy Scouts attain this rank.

A scout since 1998, Poyssick has earned 26 merit badges and has held various leadership ranks such as senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, and patrol leader. He has provided over 100 hours of community service and participated in over 20 weekend camping trips.

CLARK—This year’s Cub Scout Pack #30/Boy Scout Troop 330 Rahway River clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, April 26. The scouts intend to focus on the section of the North Branch (Bloodgood Branch) of the Rahway River upstream and downstream of the dam at Winfield Park.
