Promoting Healthy Habits—February is Dental Health Month at schools in New Jersey. On Feb. 17 students from the UMDNJ School of Dental Hygiene visited Grover Cleveland School in Rahway. The hygiene students visited each class and gave lessons on dental health and proper care of your teeth. Each Grover Cleveland student was given tooth paste and tooth brushes to take home. Learning About Dental Health—Students from UMDNJ Dental Hygiene School visited Grover Cleveland School for February Dental Health Month. They visited all the classrooms and gave a short lesson on dental health. Every student was given a new tooth brush and knowledge on how to keep a healthy smile. Grover Cleveland students thank the UMDNJ hygienists for their visit.
Fighting Tooth Decay – As part of Dental Health Month in February, fourth graders at Roosevelt School in Rahway were eligible to enter the Union County Dental Health Poster Contest. Anthony Mannino and Maya Jackson won prizes. They are pictured with their art teacher, Angela Urrico.
