Air Force Senior Airman Chanice M. Reid has been named the Airman of the Year in both the 341st Missile Wing and 20th Air Force competition.
Selection was based on the individual’s exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments, and community service and support.
She will now compete to be one of the Air Force’s 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year.
Reid, a senior missile chef with three years of military service, is assigned to the 341st Missile Wing, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Mont.
The airman is the daughter of Michele Reid of Elizabeth, and sister of Shonte Moaney of Welland Ave., Irvington.
In 2000, Reid graduated from Linden High School. She received an associate degree in 2002 from Essex County College, Newark and a bachelor’s degree in 2004 from Caldwell College.
